A Long Pause

Found this statement again today, but this time with an immense impact. Its just another day in my life, but I tend to think about my life when I am less occupied with work. I had always been a chatter box all my life, and talking to people immensely pleased me. I am forced to think this as I realised I have spoken hardly 100 words today, including 25-30 words I used at Food Counters during lunch,a few "Hi-Hello" and this happens almost everyday.

I desperately wanted to work and be independent,I dreamt of a career(which is not as amazing as I thought of),and I have it.And as some wise men say " everything has a price", I had to sacrifice the chirpy me. And when I say this, it is not what I actually did,it happened with time, without my knowledge.Nothing changed and everything did.

Life is funny indeed,I got a job so that I could afford a life but then I spend all my time working and end up with no time to live the life I am working for. Amazing!!

  1. Wow, I definitely love this quote. I guess most of us are so busy living in the now and for the immediate future that sometimes we forget to reflect and look back on all the things we have done.

I also understand where you are coming from about being a chatter box, I have found that lately I hardly have a genuine conversation with anyone because I am too busy with menial tasks.

Indeed, We are actually missing "living life"
